Dopo anni di gestazione e diversi rimandi, il progetto Spirit (titolo dato al film nei primi stadi) arriva finalmente anche in Italia in DVD. Gin iro no Kami no Agito (Agito dai capelli d'argento) rappresenta il primo film della Gonzo per le grandi sale e la sfida del sempre più popolare (e potente) studio ai veterani del settore. Caratterizzato da budget molto elevati e un doppiaggio di attori professionisti (oltre ad una colonna sonora estremamente evocativa a cura di Taku Iwasaki già responsabile delle musiche per Kenshin OVA, Read or Die, ROD TV, Witch Hunter Robin and Now and Then, Here and There Giniro that seems to inspire in a particular way) the film certainly is proposed as one of the most interesting projects of 2006.

PLOT:
Three hundred years in the future the world as we know it will no longer exist, irreversibly devastated by a human race that, however, is now reduced to a bare minimum due to the sudden threat posed by sentient forest: an experiment in genetic manipulation escaped to check that led to the conception of plant organisms capable of attacking humans. Despite this there are still communities of human beings living in harmony in some way, even in conditions estreme a cui sono esposti. Il giovane Agito è una di queste persone, ma la sua vita cambia drasticamente il giorno in cui rinviene, in una sorta di santuario, la dormiente Taura, una ragazza "del passato" con la missione di far rivivere la perduta civiltà. Per salvare la ragazza Agito stipula un patto con la foresta, ottenendo in cambio poteri proibiti e incanutendo nel processo.
